  1. Worse service ever as I have spend 10,000 from this store and last two sales have been a nightmare and when dealt with them the response was that Mr. Menear could care less for his customers and we are a non-profit for the homeless. VERY SAD!

  2. Dear Sir

I am a 100% service connected disabled veteran. I am also a second generation customer of Home Depot. I am so disappointed in your decision to stop the 10% discount program for all veterans. Was it really effecting HD's bottom line significantly enough to stop honoring veterans?? I purchased a house with my GI Bill in 2014 and have spent thousands of dollars from a monthly fixed pension with Home Depot. I am sure with your total compensation package as CEO and President of Home Depot of >$10M that a 10% discount is pittance however it is a lot when you cannot work and are on a fixed VA pension.

Loews still honors veterans, and I will do every thing in my power to get fellow veterans involved. Disgraceful Mr. Menear.

    With Regards

  3. I am writing to make you aware of an Employee who has the internet blowing up over how this represents your company. She is working in NY and is on the clock at your register where every customer sees Her hat that says "America was never great"! This is a disgusting and offending display of disrespect to all Americans! You have uniform standards and I would hope this isn't a part of them. This puts your company in financial danger as this will turn customers away. I know I am now a Loews customer now myself. Shameful! You don't allow pictures to be attached but I'm sure if you google home depot employee hat, you will see it. It's going viral and you've got trouble brewing with your customers.

    To Mr. Craig Menear:
Hello my name is Lucy Rodriguez from Fort Worth Texas. I have a very important concern on your customer service and employees. Mr. Menear I have never experienced such unprofessional employees until I was in need of lots of materials for my bathroom! I want to let you know to take the time and listen to “us” your liable customers. We depend on The Home Depot to build our homes. I have all my receipts that I would like to email you regarding my stops to The Home Depot. In every store not one person would ask if we needed help, not one person would acknowledge us nor greet us. Mr. Menear I understand if you are shorthanded or the store is super busy and all associates are on call or helping customers. I sure would like for you to review you cameras on a daily base and see for yourself what reality is. I renewed my bathroom and spent a lot of money on it and felt soo bad that I had to go look for help all the time. I was left waiting and waiting from associated that were going to get help. I was lied to when I needed a vanity combo that was at the very top and the associate said their forklift machine was out of battery that I had to wait for an hour for it to re-charge. Mr. Menear as we leave the store, on the unloading area there is one forklift unloading what looks like 6 bags of cement onto a truck. We came back the next day and they told us the same thing, the forklift is not working right now. Really I said, you have no other machinery to get the vanity down? With gestures an associates called to go get it down and bring it to the front of the line for me to buy. Mr. Menear do you know how I felt at that moment, I felt so bad in even asking for help! The same thing happened when we asked for all of materials, I went to pick out my floor, I asked 4 associates for help and all of them said ok I will go get you help. Time passed and passed and passed until I asked for a chair to sit down. Then when I got upset and told them how many calls do it takes to place the tile boxes on my cart, a crew cam over all upset talking loudly saying well this is not my area…. The other associate said, nor my area but we will help you I guess. Mr.Menear how do you think I felt? I am very upset and feel unappreciated at The Home Depot, the company received a good amount of money. To you Mr.Menear it might be chump change but not to me. I will never walk in The Home Depot nor buy my next project materials there. I would like for you to train your associates well and let them know that it’s their job to help ALL customers and greet them no matter how they look or race they are.
Sorry to waste your precious time in this matter but I give a 0 rating for your stores.

    Mrs.Rodriguez

I have experienced a problem with my account and went into your Home Depot Store located in Covington, Louisiana for assistance. This store is poorly UNDERSTAFFED. Another customer and myself waited close to 45 minutes for service at the Customer Service Desk. We asked for a Manager, but he never came. NOW, Citi is charging me two (2) late fees, plus refuses to take off $400 of equipment that was never used. I did not have an account number when they charged these fees. Citi is very uncooperative with customers. I will be writing you and Mr. Michael L. Corbat, Citi CEO. Thank you of your cooperation and assistance.

  8. I recently ordered a stove top through your employee in your Albuquerque, NM store on Eubank Blvd. Before I ordered it I explained to the employee, it's not quite the route I think I want to go and if I changed my mind how hard would it be to return it and would I be charged. The employee assured me that I would have no problems as long as I had a receipt and would not be charged. I tried to return the stove top unopened because I didn't end up needing it (my stove I thought was broke wasn't) and since it wasn't exactly what I wanted I was gonna hold off. The manager Dan refused to return it, said I only had 48 hours to return it. It was delivered on Thursday, I tried returning it on Monday. Not only was I out of town on the weekend but your contract installers would not have even installed it until Monday because of business hours. This being the case, even if there was something wrong with it I would not have known until more than 48 hours. Not to mention the paperwork I was given said nothing about any differrences on returning the merchandise, and again I was assured by your employee I would have no problems. I contacted customer care hotline and they were no help, they said they can not go above a store's decision. The store manager agreed to take the countertop stove back with a 15% fee. I explained I am currently unemployed and cannot afford to pay for their negligence in training their staff or for their staff's mistake. The charge will be left on my credit card, so now I would be having to pay interest on my trust in your company. Yesterday after customer care told me they cannot override the store's decision I asked to speak to a higher authority. She told me all managers were unavailable, she assumed they were in a meeting and would have one call me back when they returned. I still have not heard back. I am to say the least frustrated and dissappointed in your company and it's lack of customer value. I hope that this message gets to someone who cares because if not I will be forced to contact any and all outlets that can help me.
    Sincerely,
    Bobbie J Ortiz

  9. To whom it may concern,

In October we went to Homedepot Pleasanton, California. We went to the store to purchase the laminate floor and it was $1.88 per square foot and talked to one of the lady was working there and we asked her if we buy the $1.88 will be get .89 cent per square installation and she said you have spend more than $2.00 per foot. We showed her sign that was in the floor and the manager came over there and the lady does not know what she is talking about you are right about the price. We paid $5300.00 for our laminate floor and it's been 3 months still they did not install the floor in our house yet they still have not finished and we went to the store like more than 50 times at the store and nobody knows nothing each time we go there and every person we talked to has different answers for us. Last month j&g company sent somebody to install floor and he broke three stairs and he was asking us how much we paid to homedepot labor and he trying to offer us half price and he give us his business card he said cancel home depot order and I will put the laminate floor in half price. But do not tell Homedepot and j&g contractor so we had a lot of harassment and paid 3 credit card bills for nothing that has not been completed. We are very upset with homedepot. If you can help us with please call 925-330-0145.

I purchased a stove on 1/311/7 and the merchandise was delivered on 2/4/17. The people who delivered the stove on Saturday 2/4/17 were not able to remove the old stove so they left the new stove and let us know that we have to call a handy man to get the old stove out.
I called a handy man who came on the same day 2/4/17. He removed the old stove. I called Home Depot back to have them come back and install the stove. They came back on Tuesday 2/7/17 to install the new stove. They did not check the stove to see it it works. The same evening my tenant came home to cook and the stove did not work. There is light inside the stove but the burners were not hot at all. We went out and check the stove. We called Home Depot back Wednesday 2/8/17 and they were scheduled to come out and check the stove on Friday 2/10/17. Nobody showed up on Friday to check on the stove. I called again on Friday 2/10/17 and was told that they will come out again on Tuesday 2/14/17. Our electrician came out on Saturday 2/11/17 and checked and tested all the outlets for 2 hours and he came back saying there is nothing wrong with the outlets, the stove is defective. I called Home Depot after his diagnostic and explained that I need a new stove to replace the defective one when the crew comes out on 2/14/17 to check on it. Today I have a confirmation call for tomorrow 2/14/17 and I called Home Depot to make sure that they will bring a new stove to replace because I don't want to waste time for them to come out and tell us tomorrow that the stove is defective and they need to order a new stove. It's been since 1/31/17 that we came to the store and placed the order and tomorrow it makes 15 days that we don't have a stove. Dennis, the manager that I called and talked on the phone said to me that they will come out tomorrow but they don't have anybody to install. I paid for the whole service to have the stove installed. What kind of service is it?
If Home Depot could not perform, let me know. So disappointed on the service.

  13. The link goes to my year and a half worth of hell getting windows installed. I guess it's time for an attorney since no one will help. Being a disabled woman I will also be contacting people that work with the disabilities act. It's so very sad as my father was very good friends with Bernie Marcus back in the day, and now I'm going to make sure that everybody knows what a terrible company you have. For those having problems there will be information at my blog regarding a website I will be starting called Home Depot lies and commits fraud. You can go there and leave your comments about what they did to you.

  14. To Mr Menear,,,,,,,I dont appreciate the lies..deceit and the unprofessional way you or your store handled a situation. no policy on opening boxes that come back to the store? A box comes to the store in return and you dont even check to make sure whats suppose to be IN the box IS actually in there..so whomever buys it next could get a RUDE awaking. A manager and I talk on the phone and I get told stuff, Then they do about face and Im sitting waiting for WEEKS for something that DOESNT come...your managers making "fake " receipts because returns didnt do an exchange correctly....ALL LIES..ALL FAKE...and then...you all send me two checks..I call payables and they say (in india no less)....yes please keep them...keep them as curtesy...then craig hackett tells you all to cancel ONE check and you all take the money out of my account without NOTICE..and then my bank charges ME fees for your STUPIDITY.....and YOU all dont think there is ANYTHING wrong with this??????? you SELL me a weed wacker that is defective..that was RETURNED to your store and because you all dont CHECK the boxes you all didnt NOTICE it did not have ALL the items with it!! but I get injured from it and hey...the manufacturer will deal with that...PFFT....and when a person EMAILS YOU....Craig_menear@homedepot.com....You pass it off to some other department and a sade shumacke calls me and LIES THROUGH HER DAMN TEETH...you all are NOTHING but a BIG FAT LIE...your FAKE and you LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say a BOYCOTT OF HOME DEPOT is IN ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Just one more unhappy long time customer at Desert Center, CA.
Here's my complaint. I tried to order a gas range on-line. Apparently the on-line site does not allow orders. I then went to the chat site. The chat site also referred me to the local store (110 miles round trip) the reason for ordering on-line.
I finally called the local store in Indio, CA. No one answered in the appliance department. I finally spoke to a manager, not the manager, and was told "We don't deliver out there". I explained that Home Depot does deliver "out there" my home at least 3 times in the past. She got huffy and then said you'll pay and it will be an extra $120, you still want it? What a bitch.
I tried to make a call to Sheila Todd in Atlanta. She told me if I ever get this "We don't deliver to your home, call me. Sheila works at the home office. Well of course there is no way to leave a message on Saturday.
I've just about to give up and call Lowe's, they do deliver and the price is the same. Home Depot not only has very few employees working at the stores, they cop an attitude if you call the store. Geo. D. lake.tamarisk@gmail.com

  16. Dear Mr Menear,
On April 1, 2017 I ordered a dishwasher from your Home Depot store 1902 in Evanston, Illinois 60202 at 2201 Oakton Street. I would like to inform you of what happened.
It took over one month to have it installed. On my order it was clearly specified that no one is home during the day and the dishwasher was to be delivered and installed between 5-7 on the following Tuesday. On that Tuesday morning I received a call from a very rude delivery man who informed me that the delivery would take place in 30 minutes. I told him that I had requested an evening delivery but he didn’t care.
After many calls to the delivery company and to the Assistant Manager Derek at Home Depot I was rescheduled for Saturday morning. I canceled a conference I wanted to attend to be home.
On Saturday May 29th I was rudely awakened by the delivery company at 7 AM to inform me that the dishwasher had been damaged during delivery and they had to order a new one. They said they would call me for delivery. I repeated the fact that no one would ever be home during the day except for early on Saturday mornings or late Saturday afternoons, but not between 11-2.
The delivery company called me back to inform me they would deliver the dishwasher on Thursday May 11th between 10-2:00. I told them no one would be home. After talking to Derek at Home Depot he called the delivery company to have the dishwasher delivered to Home Depot and said he would have it delivered to me.
He offered me $150 reduction to cover the delivery cost and a little more.
On Thursday I got another very rude call (all the people at the delivery company are very rude and completely uncaring about customer service.) from a delivery man saying he was at my home. I told him the address had been changed the day before but he didn’t seem to know. Several calls later the dishwasher was finally delivered to Home Depot and then brought to my house in the same evening. I received a call from the installers saying they would come at exactly the time I had said I would not be home on Saturday. However this company was excellent and was able to change the time to the morning.
However- when the new dishwasher was opened by the installers they discovered that it too was damaged.
I was furious and went to Home Depot where I talked to Tim, another assistant manager (standing in the middle of the store- not even in a more private place, which was a little embarrassing) . He promised to get a new machine delivered during the week, which he did, and to have it installed on Saturday morning, May 20, which it was. He also promised to “do something for me” but as of today I haven’t heard anything.
I have NEVER had so many problems getting something delivered and installed or had to speak to so many rude people ( unfortunately I can’t do anything for you is the refrain at the delivery company )and wait on hold both at the delivery company and at Home Depot. I spent hours on the phone during the month. I recognize that both Derek and Tim did try to do their best; however it was an extremely stressful month for me because of this, not to mention that I had to wash dishes by hand for a month.
We were good Home Depot customers but will not look for other options to buy what we need.
What do you think of this type of service?
